These are all overnight canoe trips. There are 4 places you can choose from at this time. They are the Oklahawa River near Ocala, Fisheating Creek near Palmdale, Peace River near Arcadia and Zolfo Springs, and Myakka River near Venice. This will be a 1 night camping trip for up to 4 people. The price includes round trip from your city to one of the above places, 4 tickets, ticket handling, 2 canoes, and drinks. Bait, fishing gear, and tent are your responsibility. No owned canoes can be taken with this tour as of now.
A 2-night camping is available for the same price down Peace and Oklahawa Rivers. You may be escorted or simply dropped off and picked up at your landing and destination. Canoe trips are great family outings. My favorite river to see wildlife on is the Oklahawa. Crystal Clear Springs flow about, plenty of birds and alligators. Lots of turtles are viewed. You may see an occasional opossum, bull, or bear. However, the most unusual animal that habitats this river is a Rhesus Monkey. Do not get near these monkeys as they will bite and it can be fatal.
Price for up to 4 people is $400. Add $50 for the Oklahawa.
